A note from the CEO

Cyber education has a practitioner gap. We are here to close it.

Across public and private schools nationwide, cybersecurity is being taught by educators - not by practitioners. That gap is not a small one, and it is the single biggest reason students graduate from cyber programs with credentials that do not match the work the industry actually does.

Education is the gateway every student walks through on the way to a career, and for most disciplines that gateway works. Cyber is different. The fields under the “cyber umbrella” - offensive security, defensive operations, threat intel, cloud security, AI safety - move so fast that early education simply cannot keep up using yesterday's playbooks.

Take Virginia Cyber Range. It is a fantastic platform, and the labs are genuinely useful for getting students familiar with the shape of cybersecurity work. But after years of using it in my own classroom, the pattern is unmistakable: the curriculum was written by educators, not by practitioners. The result is material that is well-structured but several years behind what real defenders and attackers are doing right now.

That is why I built Blackbox CLC.

Blackbox Intelligence Group LLC is proud to bring our Cyber Learning Center to the high-school CTE classroom: a curriculum platform written and continuously updated by a team of senior offensive and defensive cybersecurity professionals who have spent years not just doing the work, but training large teams to do it. Every module, every lab, every rubric is shaped by people who still break into things on Monday and still teach a block of high schoolers on Tuesday.

Students deserve curriculum that reflects the industry as it is, not as it was. Teachers deserve materials they can run on Monday morning without rebuilding from scratch. Schools deserve a partner that takes both seriously.

That is exactly what Blackbox CLC was built to deliver.

Why Blackbox CLC

Designed for real classrooms, not theoretical ones.

Most cybersecurity curricula are written by people who have never taught a high school block. Blackbox CLC is the opposite: every module ships with the worksheets, rubrics, answer keys, slide decks, and pacing guidance a real teacher needs to run it on Monday morning.

Classroom-safe by default

No live exploitation. No real targets. Every lab uses approved, fictional, controlled environments.

Editable for your school

Schools can stamp their own logo, colors, and policy language onto the safety agreement, syllabus, and certificates.

Built by a practitioner

An active CTE cyber instructor who is also OSCP-certified, so the content stays honest about what real cybersecurity work looks like.

Two flagship tracks

Cybersecurity and AI Fluency. Same level of depth.

Run them as a two-year flagship CTE program, or pick the track that fits your schedule.

Cybersecurity I & II

A full year of CTE cyber: ethics and authorized use, account security, phishing, malware, network defense, incident response, hardening, triage, and careers. Defensive-only and classroom-safe by design.

  • • 25 units across Cyber I & Cyber II
  • • Aligned to CSTA K-12 and the NICE framework
  • • Tabletop IR drills, log-reading labs, hardening labs
  • • Cyber career pathway + certification awareness

AI Fluency for High School

Ten units that explain how LLMs actually work, how to prompt them, how to install local open-source models, and how to use AI ethically - including the deepfake conversation parents want their kids to have.

  • • Hands-on with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Ollama
  • • Aligned to AI4K12 Big Ideas and NIST AI RMF
  • • Multimodal AI, RAG, agents, prompt injection
  • • Capstone: students build a useful AI tool

Editions

Start small. Scale to a full year.

Begin with the 6-module Starter Edition for one teacher. Upgrade to a full semester, add the AI Fluency course, or buy a school license when you are ready.

The presenter

Project the deck. Speaker notes built in. Works offline.

Every module ships with an in-browser presenter: themed slides, private speaker notes for the teacher, keyboard navigation, and full-screen mode. It loads once, then keeps working even if the school wi-fi drops mid-period.

Cybersecurity I · Module 1

The three-question test

  1. 1. Scope. Is this exact system, on this date, in writing, in my permission?
  2. 2. Permission. Who said yes, and do they have the authority to say yes?
  3. 3. Intent. If a judge read my chat logs, would my intent look like research or like harm?

Slide 4 of 24 · Press ↓ for speaker notes

Try it on the free Unit 1. No setup, no install. Open the deck in your browser, start teaching.

  • • Themed slides with consistent typography
  • • Speaker notes hidden from students
  • • Keyboard-only navigation
  • • Offline once loaded
  • • Editable .pptx export for districts that mandate PowerPoint
