About Blackbox CLC

Built by a teacher who is also a practitioner.

Blackbox CLC is built and maintained by an active high school cybersecurity CTE instructor who is also OSCP-certified, a U.S. Army veteran, and the founder of Blackbox Intelligence Group LLC. The curriculum reflects what actually works in real classrooms — and what actually matters in real cybersecurity work.

Honest about the work

No movie hacking. No theater. Just the skills, ethics, and decision-making real defenders use on a Tuesday at 2 PM.

Classroom-safe by design

Every lab is designed to live inside approved school environments. Defensive-only. No live exploitation. No real targets.

Backed by the company

Blackbox Intelligence Group LLC also defends schools through its cybersecurity services — so the curriculum stays current with the threats schools actually see.

Why this exists

Most cyber and AI curricula are written by people who have never taught a high school block.

I built Blackbox CLC because every Sunday night for years I was patching together other people’s materials — a slide deck from one place, a worksheet from another, an answer key I wrote at 11 PM — just to teach a coherent week. The materials on the market were either too theoretical to run, too dangerous to run safely, or too generic to mean anything to a 16-year-old in front of me.

So I wrote the curriculum I wished existed. Every module ships with the teacher guide, student worksheet, scenario packet, quiz, and answer key. Every lesson has scripted pacing. Every lab is classroom-safe by design. Every assessment has a rubric a real teacher can actually grade in the time they have.

Then AI happened. Students started using ChatGPT for everything, schools panicked, and most “AI for schools” programs either banned it or sold magic. Neither is teaching. So I wrote the AI Fluency course the same way: ten units that explain how LLMs actually work, how to drive them well, how to install one on your own machine, and how to use them honestly.

That is the whole product. Cybersecurity and AI literacy, written by someone who teaches both every week, ready to run on Monday morning.

Offensive Security Certified Professional. The hands-on certification that requires demonstrating real exploitation under time pressure, not multiple-choice recall.

Active CTE instructor

Teaches the curriculum every week to real high school students. Every module gets revised based on what actually worked in the classroom.

U.S. Army veteran

Service background informs the discipline around safety, authorization, and operating inside lawful boundaries that shapes the entire curriculum’s ethics framing.
